New bumper, winch, and slider steps
These pics include 1 with everything, the bumper (Bestop Highrock 4X4), and slider steps (also Bestop Highrock 4X4). The last two show how the steps can be extended or retracted. I use to have motorized steps but they were breaking all the time and I didn't even take them wheeling. Only God knows what would have happened if I did.

Definitely, here is a pic of the items I used. While I was doing this I took pictures so I could do a complete write up, but then today I was searching to see how others had done this and noticed that Project-JK had already completed this mod so I did not feel I needed to add one more write-up to clutter up the place and I did not use a grommet kit as they discuss, we will see how these last and if they do not, then I will do them again with the grommet. But I can do a quick abbreviated version here:
2 x Golds Gym 3-in-1 Jump Rope = $6.47/each
3 x 6' Lashing Strap with buckle = $1.88/each
Notes:
1) While searching for something I could use for handles (I did not want to have to wait to order something online and did not like the idea of using PVC pipe and some sort of insulation as I've heard of others doing) I also ran across and seriously considered using bicycle handles, but for what I was doing they did not offer the structure/stiff feel I was looking for and were a couple bucks more. It's also kind of a waste of 2 jump ropes but I kept the parts in case they can come in handy in another project. I picked them up in the sports section at a local Wal-Mart. Also, you'll have to drill out one end of the handle (the part with the Golds Gym logo) for the strap to pass through, I used a uni-bit and it took all of 30 seconds to do all 4. One more thing, the end that screws on to the handle has a silver pass through, it's hole I felt was too small to pass the lashing through and so I used a hammer and punch to remove them; just place the cap screw side down and remove them that way, it was very simple and they came out very easily.
2) In the picture I show 4 lashing straps and that is because at first I was going to wrap all 4 handles around the roll bar as the front ones are but then half way through I noticed the bolts in the roll cage and decided that would be a cleaner look. Wish the front had a similar attachment but hey the fronts look pretty good and are very functional.
3) To stiffen the ends of the strap (where the bolt will pass through and attach) I doubled the strap over and used electrical tape to hold it together while I punch a hold for the bolts to pass through.
4) Two of the lashing straps are used "unharmed" and one is used to create the straps for the back.
Hope this helps, PM me if you need any further help.
