cant believe how much it helped. exhaust is 2x as loud now too.
finished RC body lift lastnight but couldnt mount smittybilt rock rails with it on. so went and got new bolts today and remounted the smittys.
gonna retorque in a few days to make sure everythings tight.
its amazing how much bigger the jeep seems without the rails. they make it look 6" lower. but i cant imagine having to get in a jeep ANY bigger than mine. my dad couldnt get in without the rails on. took him literally 3 mins to get in.

i used velco straps on mine. i attached the straps to the plastic fire extinguisher bracket screw holes with pop rivets and mounted it in the same place as yours, then ran a couple of velcro straps around the extinguisher and roll bar for extra security. it's amazing how using pop rivets to attach velcro straps to a mount on a roll bar works well and stays in place. i did the same thing mounting my cb and ham radio brackets with pop riveted velcro straps on the roll bar behind the front seat in my 2006 LJ Rubi, never moved a bit. with velcro you don't have to cut the zip ties to get the extinguisher off either.
