What was done to your JK this week?

I installed my new OME Nitrosport shocks yesterday. This are very nice riding shock for the money. I can definitely tell the difference from my oem w/extensions. Smoother ride and less body roll when turning. I am going to have to recenter my steering wheel, it raised me up almost a 1/2 inch. Going to wait a couple of days to see if it settles any.
Install went smooth, but removal of fronts broke my shock extensions. Oh well. Back install was hampered by lower mounts being a little bit narrow, but I just bent them open more. Bolt pulled it back into shape when tightened.
There is one thing that I don't really like. These shock are suppose to fit 3.5 to 5 inch lifts, but the fronts were only 1 inch longer than my oem shocks with the extensions. I was running 3.5 inches of lift (now almost 4 inches), and I was hoping for a little bit more for flex. I'm sure that they will be fine for my setup, but I don't think that these shocks would actually be long enough for someone running a 5 inch.

Blacked out my front end with bedliner, tinted all my colored lenses, removed all decals and front Jeep emblem, added grill guard colored in Det Yellow touch-up paint and tinted in angry eyes on the front headlamps. Earlier in the week... added ACE rock rails! ![Thumb](https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)

Be forewarned.....they fade with any exposure to sunlight. Doesn't even have to be prolonged. I love mine, but they faded really bad. And I've only had them since Christmas, with very minimal exposure to the sun, and the tops of the bags are almost white. Until recently, the top has only been off a couple times for less than 48 hours at a time. So maybe treat them with Scotchguard or something similar that helps to resist fading.
Seatcovers are the same way. My Smittybilt seat covers I've only had since March and they are prett faded, too, along with the stitching coming apart. I'll get them replaced shortly, though. Took them off over the weekend because they were full of dust. That and I missed my leather seats...![Blush](https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/images/smilies/blush.gif)
