I am liking this tire carrier combo. I had almost exactly the same setup on my CJ7 years ago. I think this may be the way I end up going. I bet it is a LOT cheaper than a new rear bumper and swing-out carrier. What size tire is that? My Federal 35's on stock Sahara rims weigh in at about 140 pounds each. Would that carrier hold up?
You're right about the price too, talk to David at Northridge4x4, he will hook you up.
