The double sided 3m tape is what the factories use to hold the emblems on. I replaced the emblems on my 97 dodge with the new style. I used the 3m double sided tape, they are still on and that was 6 or so years ago. Lots of ice, mud and car washes. 3m is the way to go.

I just ordered a new emblem, painted that black then peeled off the backing it came on and stuck that on.

x2. It does bond anything but it bubbles and oozes all over the place. No way to contain it.

A different glue I like is the Goop line of glues. They make many types, and it is less messy.
