I think it looks goofy, though it might look okay on a black JK. I think the ugly factor outweighs the protection factor. It's also made out of vinyl so it might be disposable after a few years in the elements.

And with this post... Goodbye newbie status!

Pass.

The thing needs to be taken off every time it's been out in
the rain or snow because it will discolor the paint.
