Well my volant snorkel arrived in the mail today. I bought the 37738 kit. Snorkel and cai since I didnt have either. I was excited I have been waiting months for it to come out and a couple weeks it was on my doorstep after I ordered it. Then I opened the box and it all went downhill. I am missing parts!

how does it seal where the tube that comes thru hood and the airbox meet?

its a rubber ring/seal This isnt my pic obviously or id be happy

I dunno I think I would be to worried about that under hood seal lining up and sitting perfectly

did you call them yet about the parts? I hope they overnight them to you

edit: ok now I seen the pic it does look nice and thick and as high up there as it sits I guess u have to feel it set when you close the hood

so the male part is cut through the hood?

i wonder how far it presses into the female part? ()

closed on fridays I emailed em I will call monday. I took off today just so I could do the install. They give a templet for the large hole but theres another 4 bolt holes that you have to drill in the hood . That might be a pita. I would say the hood pushes down on the cai box maybe an in. I cant really tell you cause its in the box in the garage till I can mount the cai box.

man that does suck... i ordered the same thing you did, months ago and got tired of waiting and got the aev snorkle... everytime i called volant they said they were waiting for parts(that is when they answered the phone).... guess they got tired of waiting for parts also and started shipping them
