Its funny you post this now, I actually heading back out there on Wednesday for a couple of days. I carry my 45 when Im out there. Its definitley sketchy being out in the middle of NOWHERE at 2am when its FREEZING and you can here a pin drop. When I went out there last, A bright light zipped across the sky, dead stopped after going mach snot, and then took off at Mach 10. I had to ask the father-n-law if he actually saw that. All night, lights would appear and then vanish. Its erie out there since your all alone and its so quite. Well see if I make it back in one piece this time!

I actually sold that Jeep last July. When I got the lift done I HATED IT!!!!!!!! I even took it to ORE to have lower control arms put on and still couldnt get it to ride or handle ride. I actually just found out a couple of months ago that the hack shop that installed it used the wrong holes in the brackets, which screwed everything up. Since I dont do any major offroading, more overland stuff, I am thinking about doing it again on the Jeep I just picked up. If I do the kit again, I will let you know how it rides. The thing was defintiley a monster. Its a big lift for sure, that part I loved.

Ok,, 2 things. Make sure your castor is set correctly. 2nd,,,, spend the extra money on a PCS Hydro Assist steering ram!! You can buy the ram and install lines,, then tap your stock steering box for the hydraulic lines. This will definitely control your steering issue. Your jeep absolutely looks Bad Ass! Now its time to make it right! Control those big tires!

1" Teraflex coil spacers
18x10 Moto Metal 961
38x15.5x18 Nitto MudGrapplers
Smitty side armor
Bumper Caps
Pilot Driving lights/Sylvania bulbs

The good-
I like the way it came out aesthetically. I am SHOCKED i really dont have to regear, still plenty of power. I may regear because I like to go fast from a stop but honestly, not needed even with 38's.

The Bad-
I had a local HACK SHOP thats not a vendor do the work and the Jeep rides lke shit and feels very unsafe. The steering wheel literally rocks back and forth in my hand three inches each way at any speed and the car is WAY LOOSE. When I picked up the car the first night, the shop didnt have time to align it and said that was the cause of the poor driving. I dropped it off the next morning and told them they had to fix it and the car was absolutley unnaceptable. I picked it up that night and drove it home, no difference. The shop owner said thats just the nature of the big tires,I knew it was bullshit, this thing is SCARY to drive. THE NEXT DAY I drove it out to Off Road Evolution. Within 1 minute Mel told me its because of the 1" spacer!! He said that I need lower contol arms badly, that the caster was causing the problems. I have also already melted the front driveshaft boot from the shops "Exhaust Mod". I ordered front Tera LCA's and a J.E. Reel front driveshaft from Mel. They are closed this week so I have to wait until next Tuesday to drop it off. I am limping it around until then. ON TOP OF THIS, the shop sends me a bill today for $300 for labor they didnt charge on the first bill. Moral of the story, spend the extra money on reputable shop. I knew something was up when I pulled up and this dump had 2 Jeeps up front, thats on me!

What's the back spacing on your wheels I'm looking to get the exact tire size. I want to get the perfect backspacing for me not to rub and not have to use wheel spacers.

I asked the same question. He Pm'd me the info. He had 4.56" back spacing and no need for spacers.

They were Pilot Driving lights from Auto Zone. They werent expensive, but the light output wasnt great either. Will be going Vision X this time around.
