Rooster76, thanks for the awesome info in your thread (to include links). I found your info and Mark9998's super helpful while bed-lining my Rubi.

Here's the tread I made for my bed-liner in the JK Show and Tell forum.

PAINTING OVER REAR SEAT ATTACHMENT LOOPS WARNING
I just put my rear seat in for the first time after spraying the tub. I have only put the rear seat in once before(when it wasn't bedlined), so I'm no expert at it. I found it to be a bit difficult to get the seat to clip in the back. Now that it is attached it seems solidly on there. In the process of getting the seat to attach in, I had a small bit of the liner chip off.

It ain't the sickest looking doorless pic, but it sure as hell ain't the ugliest. You need to look around more if you think that JKU is ugly.

Dude really? He's put more of his own time decking out his interior than you've probably paid someone to work on your exterior. Keep the negativity to yourself.

Default compressor requirements

Hey all,

So when the weather gets warm enough and a long weekend roles around I plan to take the plunge on this awesome project. I plan to do the tub and atleast the outside of the hard top if not the inside as well to get rid of the white.

I do have one question that is still nagging that I'm not sure about.

U-POL states that you need a 8 cfm 40-90 psi compressor to get the job done. I dont have a compressor but have access to a friends but it does not reach U-POLs requirements. The compressor I have access to is a small 5 gallon that I can get the proper psi out of but not the cfm. With that said will I still be able to spray in the raptor liner in without issue or do I need access to a larger compressor that reaches 8 cfm??

Thanks

Everyones jeeps look amazing with the liner in them. Great write up and information. Definite inspiration for me doing this to my jk.

My air compressor is a 20 gallon (sears) craftsman. I was able to spray at 65psi without needing to stop for it to regain pressure. I would try to find/rent one that big or larger. I have heard of someone using a pancake air compressor with taking a lot of breaks. It is very hard on the air compressor, and I wouldn't recommend it. I would imaging that it could result in an uneven texture.

That's alot bigger then my buddies 5 gallon. I will be staying with a lower psi as I would like a more textured look and I have to give it an extra shot in the rear for the dogs as I dont want them scratching through. Would that change anything? Theyre the main reason for doing this, well and the looks. All that dog hair. I'm done with that carpet hahaha. What size compressors has everyone else used?

This looks fantastic! I just had mine done in Line-X. Hope to pick it up today. Considered having the interior matched to the exterior, but it is flame red. Thought that would be a bit much. The green looks really good.
