Yes you can. Just be carefull where you run the wire. You can cause / create a short when running a wire between the body and fender. Mine has pinched and I have to cut a hole to re wire. I bought the set of GenRight LED side markers and mounted between the outer and inner fender with a right angle bracket from Lowe's, and just utilized the existing wire.

No I didnt take any photos during trimming. I taped and cut right on the edge along the sides. I knew I wanted to taper the front and rear fenders. On the front I measured about 12" from the rear bottom of the front fender and chose an angle I liked. I did the same in the rear except I am tampered on the front and rear of the rear fenders.

Sure you can put an LED strip there. LEDs draw less current and you ought to be able to spice right into the factory wiring. I went to Pepboys and for $6/ea I bought amber LEDs. I drilled out a 3/4" hole, popped them in and spliced them into the factory harness.

Thanks... Nice jeep I can tell you like it (A LOT) because you attached quite a few pictures. Do you ever go outside and just take pictures of your jeep?

Finally got up the courage and am happy with the results. I did not want to use any edge trim, especially in the AZ heat where the adhesive would just get soft and make a sticky mess. I took my time to get smooth clean lines, and here are the results.Click image for larger version

Question, do you guys notice any wind noise or vibrations at highway speeds after the trim job?
