Default The Tonka hits the water!

Ok...so this is tame, and some may say lame....but I thought it to be a cool photo op.
With the edge of Hurricane Alex whipping through here, I pulled the Jeep onto the rock pier for some pics.

I know this isnt by any means offroading...heck, Im still on the pavement.
Itll be a while before I endanger my ride again.

Anyway, the quality isnt great, as all I had was my iphone, but I did get to use the Pano app to create some fun panoramic shots.

I hope you guys enjoy them.
Havent done much in the way of photographs lately with my Jeep.

And if youre curious, I figured the saltwater couldnt be good for everything, so it got a nice cool freshwater rinse after the pics.

wasnt really a craving for the water this time.
just a neat photo idea, i thought.

Ill probably go through more water than that just driving home from the island.
The streets here flood pretty quickly.

It looks like Alex is really churning up the waters down there.

holy crap man, after what you went through, I would be hesitant to drive through a puddle again, let alone park it next to the ocean during a hurricane. kudos to you man

I wonder how good ol' brown crystal beach is doing haha. I think I'm going up next week when I get everything on my rig straightened out. Those shots are great though.

Dont really have a choice about parking next to the ocean.
Ive got to work.
Its parked next to the ocean everyday...normally though, there arent the larger waves and wind we have now.

Yep. Its a beautiful sight.
The photos dont do it justice.
Its been like this all day.
My dock at the house is underwater too.
Luckily, it seems as though we arent going to get any of the bad stuff.

Haters will be haters no matter what. Never mind them. Really is no comparison to what destroyed Tonka in the past. Cool pics. One day I'll live near the beach.
