I did mine but used Pactra tint spray made for lexan rc cars.

Its $3.50 at the local hobby shop and works fine.
You can see in the last picture that even though my side markers are tinted the same shade as the blinkers front and rear, that they still reflect the flash very brightly.

I masked the backup light and sprayed the brake/turn signals twice, removed the masking tape off the back up lights and sprayed everything 1 more coat. everything has 3 coats. the backup lights have 1 coat.

these things have been on my Jeep for a while
have withstood multiple snow storms (meaning lots of salt)
multiple car washes
they still look as good as the day i applied them onto the lights

idk if this has been mentioned but incase it hasnt, the best way to do this mod is to use a high quality clear coat and about a quarter sized drop of single stage black paint. Then spray mixture onto lenses.. of course this can only be done in a body shop type setting with a hvlp spray gun, but the result is great. There is no sanding or buffing after the product has been sprayed and as long as you work in a clean environment it will turn out with little to no orange peel or dirt nibs.
