I'm going for the red and black thing, not sure how it's going to look. The rear lights don't bother me so much because they are...uhh red. But those orange side markers

i would definitely like to do that on my jeep green... but after reviewing the laws... it is kinda iffy with the whole 500 feet rule... i would hate to be forced to go out and buy new lenses from the dealership at like 100 bucks each.

I really do not think it will be a problem. they are sprayed on not a lens cover, as that would get you pulled over offten. Just stay under the recommmended three coats and it will not be a problem. It still lets plenty of light through. You could always start off with just one coat and go from there. One coat may be the way for you , but I don't think it will be a problem. There are cars that come from the factory this way now, like the trailblazer. They have pretty dark smoked tails and I don't think it is any different then that. I will see if I can get a picture up soon with the lights on. Just do it on jeep green it will look great, actually I can't think of a color that it will not look good on. well, If you got the whole black thing going on .

The stuff I like to use is Dupli-color TRUCK,VAN,&SUV clear top coat. it is like that on the lable with a caps. it is a blue and silver spray can. you can get it at advanced auto which is where I got this at. no need to sand anything down . once you get the number of coats of tinit you like, then spray a few coats of clear on top of the tint. I did four coats and it looks smooth with no orange peel. good luck. maybe I will post up daytime pics later.
