Yo. If your doing the turns and side markers, go only 2 coats of nite shade on the markers, otherwise way too dark. IMO. 3 coats on turns and tails

i did one thick coat on mine and they came out great...i did my front markers, corner markers tail lights and 3rd break light....make sure you scuff up all your lenses before painting..you dont want scratches just want the plastic to look hazey then clean with rubbing alchahol and paint...this stuff will not look dark when you are painting...but trust me when it dries youl realize its dark enough, so better not enough then way too much....here is mass im sure they are illeagle but police dont pull you over for it, more somthing they mention when they pull you over for other reasons. had it done on my pearlwhite srt4 really dark and not once did i get pulled over for it....my pics of my work suck but here ya go

The hellas have the lenses painted, not the external glass. That is completely different.
What I did was I sanded my lens down and 3 light coats of VHT with 5 mins in between. 10 minutes after final coat of VHT and I put a light coat of clear acrylic enamel. 3 more coats of clear with 5 mins in between.
My lights are darkened but glossy and shiny. Looks professionally done. My reflectors still shine through them and I passed state inspections with them as well.
Problem is: most people don't take their time for multiple coats or prep time. The clear also helps a LOT.
I will take a picture of my lights soon (nearly one year later since painting them and very slight fading. Fading has stopped and the lights are a perfect hue/saturation now.)

Only took about an hour. 2 coats of rustoleum lens tint and 2 coats of clear. Very please with results. Windows are getting tinted on wednesday then the jeep with almost be murdered out!
