I did three light coats! I removed the front lights but did the side markers in place. I checked the brightness of the lights after two coats and deceided that I could get away with another coat.

Does anybody have pictures of these smoke lights when it's dark and they are on? I would like to see how they look.

Did mine today - really like how it came out.

I purchased the VHT Niteshades, sand paper, and clear coat at Pep Boys for about $25.

I took out the front turn signals to spray - but left the side markers in and just taped around them. If I had to do it again I would probably make the effort to remove the sidemarkers. When they are removed you have more control over the finish. The sidemarkers were difficult to get an even spray (with out drips) since they were vertical.

All in all though its a great - inexpensive mod. If anyone in the Denver area wants to try I have plenty of clear coat and niteshades left over.

i just finished mine up, waiting on the tails to dry right now so i can put them back on

turned out pretty good, a lil darker than i wanted, but led lights will fix that
not too worried about the side marker though, doin the fender chop this week, so it wont really matter

will have pics in about an hour when i put the taillights back in

No pics, but they are much brighter than I expected, and I went very dark.

i think it turned out pretty well, now i just need to remove the jeep emblem from the grille and the stickers on the fenders and it will be pretty much blacked out
