threads on 33's on stock jk (Mod Pic's)
33's will rub when flexed on jk
I am running 285 75 r16 (about 33x11.50) with a 1 3/4 inch front and 3/4 inch rear spacer lift and I also got 1.5 inch wheel spacers. 33's WILL rub while flexed/wheeling but will clear on the road. If they rub it will rub on the front splash gaurd covering your front sway bar which I removed anyways(I think it looks better). They will also rub in the rear when your flexed and off camber. The spacer lift is SUPER EASY (about 3 hours with simple hand tools) to install, is inexpesive (bout $100) and it mantians the stock ride and warrenty. If they still rub you can trim your fenders which looks GREAT!! I followed reds fender trim, I did it with a saber saw and trimmed them with door trim. The tires will rub with this set up if you don't modify the fenders. I trimmed the fenders and have no rubbing problems what so ever even when I disco the front end and flex as far as possible. If you have any questions about what i did on a budget PM me.....later guys Scott
here are some before and after pics of the fender trim.
