I just installed a 2" BB lift on my 07 JKU. I then put Goodyear Duratrac 285/75/R16's on MB Chaos 5 rims. I'm happy with it. I went 2" because if I went any higher, I'd want to put 35's on and I didn't want to regear. Even with 4.10's I notice a difference going up hills.

I personally would not do more than a 1 inch body lift if any at all

I installed the Performance Accessories master kit with gap guards and 2" coil spacers and steering shaft extension and love it!

Nothing at all wrong with a body lift. They are an easy, quick way to gain more clearance for larger tires.

its a billet piece that only fits one way, it lengthens the steering shaft for the 2" lift only. easy to install, check the Performance Accessories website for more info

I was looking more into the install. I am trying to get more lift without messing with thw geometrey of the axles. And to gain more clearance with my 42s.

Surely you've already done flat flares and probably cut into the fenderwells a bit to get 42's tucking? Anything stopping you from doing a full on comp cut since your geometry is already set where you want it? I ask because I've not seen much use of a BL in the jk world and when they're used it's usually the 1.25".

As dirtmans said before get some 35s and restart your build if you want to run 40s or 42s..ill second it all day even though you wont listen. Body lift isnt the answer imo.
