So you went with 3.75 backspacing right?
I was looking to buy 15" rims at first because i love how look small wheels with big rubber... and just to be sure the wheels will fit, I just changed of idea couples of days ago for 16x8. But now i see your jeep. I awesome. If you can confirmed me the backspacing please. I'm looking into the same wheel than you, but the 7069. Thanks!

I only got one question, rear tires seem to be very close to the Rubi sliders and bit of the body corner. Take a look at the picture. I think, it may become an issue during full flex on the trail.
Should I just cut the piece off of the slider and trim 1" of the body corner?

yep, just take off the cover off the slider on both sides and cut them about an inch or 2 and put the slider cover back on...I just eyeballed it. once you trim it, you will have the pinch seam showing as well so just cut that too. Looks much better, nice choice on the lift

I wanted 15's but I had test fitted my brother in law's Craggar 15" wheels on my Rubi and I was having some rubbing on my calipers. I decided on 16" and have been very happy.
Question for you....you said you wanted more rubber for off-roading... I understand your point with regards to sidewall, but did you consider the differences on the load ratings for the tires that fit 15" wheels vs. 16" wheels? I was told that tires for 16" wheels have a higher load rating and that would be better for off-roading...or something like that...

I was told by a rep at Quadratech that 16s (ProComp 7069s) would not fit my Sahara that came with stock 18s. He said they would rub the brake calliber. Thanks to all of the information out here, I told him I knew better. I've got plenty of clearance with my 16" MB72s.

Thank you all for the compliments on my ride. Its is still work in progress :-), the front bumper and sliders are on the list next (besides underbelly skids that can't be seen in the photo).

Thank you guys, all who helped me make the right choice for the wheels, tires and other mods!
I am relatively knew to this forum, I got my new 2010 Unlimited Rubicon exactly a month ago on 02/09, and started moding it right away :-). My very first few modes were to lift my Jeep and put black 15" wheels. It was quite clear that 2.5"TF coil kit with shocks is the way to go based on majority of the previous forum members installs. However, 15" black wheels are not very common (to say the least) on this forum. Nevertheless, fear not this forum have great guys who did it all, installed it all :-). When I ordered my black Procomp 8069 in 15/10"W wheels from the local 4Wheel parts store the guy was betting me that these wheels nor any other 15" will not fit JK. Other technicians in the shop agreed with him, so it was basically me (backed up by the forum knowledge) against the whole 4Wheel Drive shop full of "experts". I'll be honest with you, when the whole 4Wheel drive shop told me that no 15" wheels will fit JK, I was kind of scared to push on, nevertheless, I insisted.
This Monday I got a call from 4Wheel parts shop, they told me that 15/10W" is no longer available, however, 15/8" available. Once again, I was under doubt, as I was sure that I need 10" wide wheels to run 35/12.5/15 tires (that is what I ordered). Once again I asked a question on the forum and in about 5 min I got assured that many people run wide tires on thinner rims and this is even better for the trail use - to keep the tires on the bead. So I called store and told them to go ahead with the 15/8" wheels. Well, to conclude it, today wheels arrived in the shop and installed on my Jeep. Up until the technician tried the new wheel on, store guys could not believe it will fit

By the way, forgot to mention one important thing, the difference in weight between stock wheels/tires and new setting is only 9lb/wheel, which too make me very happy camper .
