I really like the TF 3". With a 2 door, I have been reading that I may as well figure in the cost of a new driveshaft as well. Is this correct. Those run around $500?? So to do it right we are at about $2500.00 Why not just go to a long arm suspension... is there much price difference at this point?
Going long-arm is an invasive procedure. You completely re-do your suspension. You grind off your stock short-arm mounting points and either weld or bolt on new brackets for relocating the mounting locations for the long-arms. For 3" of lift, it may not be worth it unless you intend to go 4"+ in the future and want to have it done and prepared.
If you search properly and spend time reading, you will come across several threads on this forum that argue the stock JK arms are sufficiently long to withstand a 3" or 4" lift with little benefit from longer arms. These are not like our old TJ's where the stock arms were shorter.
You are correct about the driveshaft on a 2-door. Anything above 2.5" and you'll need new driveshafts sooner rather than later.
Once again, you need to ask yourself what you want your Jeep to do. That's the starting point.

What do you want your Jeep to do? What type of driving do you do?
