Testing the new mud terrains / mud shots (plus first post! :))
It's a Jeep thing.
Me and the other car I was with just for the first half of the day (after that went against rule #2 of 4wding and went by myself with someone else in my car, but I had the UHF and there were plenty of other people on the trails including the dirt bike that came screaming around the corner almost making a new hood ornament for me!)
Up the top of Mt Corree and the pics below are the view from it.
Hazy view of the city I'm from.
Nice view of the Tidbinbilla tracking station, they do all sorts of work out that way including tracking of NASA shuttles and other spacey things.
Somewhat dirty, but I can do better than that!
Wet clay is an evil beast! Some of the time coming down, had no steering, but keeping it slow made it so I got to the end.
It's like running on slicks!
View back up the track, there were a fair few tyre marks where you could see where people had deviated from the track.
Back in town, and just after being washed (I'm not one to display mud as a trophy, that's just asking for rust )
Remember the water jet in one of the above photos from Mt Corree? Well, that's it close up.
