TC linkage problem and some poser pics
Took the new Heep out this weekend after Jeeptoberfest. The little JK performed excellent except for one little flaw, the transfer case linkage broke on me. Of course this happened while shifting the case so you know what gear it was in when it let loose heh heh neutral. Fixed with a tie wrap. The problem was the black plastic arm that attaches to the case's shifter bracket (on the case). It looks like there used be a pivot ball in the end of the plastic piece /shrug. Still not sure if it's Jeep error or if it took a hit on the trail or something in one of the mud holes. Off to the local Jeep parts dept Monday. Anyhow, here's some poser pics from the ride, wimpy I know but it's all we get around here in Florida.

Please post a pic of the part that broke. The new one will do. Also, list the part number. I would like to carry a spare. This seems to be a common weak point.

From what I've experienced myself, if you don't have a slight bit of ''roll'' when shifting the transfer case, the cable mechanism can break fairly easily. The ''at rest'' transfer case shift effort exceeds the design limits of the cable ball attachment mechanism....

The dealer is fixing it under warranty as it appears to be a common problem. Not the first one they had fixed. Here's the pic you asked for. No cudos necessary for my superior tiewrapping abilities 
While at the dealer I asked about a recalabration on my computer for the 29 inch to 32 inch tires. They said that they charge $90 because there are a bunch of calculations to do. Two different dealers told me this. Is this true? I recal'd my dodge and it was a simple jack in, tell it the new size...less than a minute.
