Swapping to 4.0 would be a complete was of your time with minimal gain for the time and $$ you put into it. Just put a supercharger in. If your thinking about getting a 4.0 youd also have to get a new tranny aswell

Some parts are the same, but the minivan version is a transverse design, whereas the JK has a longitudinal design. the oiling and engine mounts (among other things) are different.

Forgive me for coming off a bit harshly before. I was just a bit flabbergasted by the question.
The 3.8 makes more HP & torque almost everywhere. Its more compact & fuel efficient. Just seemed like a very silly question. I do apologize.
