I'm in the same boat. I've been looking for a soft top but don't want to spend the OEM money. I have a jku and was thinking a bikini top and the duster would work for me. I planned on never taking the hardtop off but I've had mine for 2 weeks and the diirs and top have been off a ton. But I don't have a garage so the hard top is a pain. Does anyone else run just the bikini and the duster? I want to stay dry as much as possible, but I'm more concerned about the in dash moniter and the sub in the back. Any advice? I've been watching Craigslist to try to pick up an OEM softtop for cheap but not too much luck thus far. I live in Ohio so in the summer it can rain out of the blue.

It's the perfect safari option imo. I went through the others. Flapping, poor fit and worst of all, don't attach to door surrounds so you can run doors in the rain and stay dry. The trektop fixes all those problems, for me at least. Here it is with Windows out and doors off. If it's raining lightly, slap the doors on and arrive to work dry. If it's raining cats and dogs, put the windows in because no matter what top you choose, heavy water on the road will suck back in from the rear and you will get wet.
All the other top options leave a gap between the doors and roll cage letting rain in.
It's worth every penny of the extra $ over the other safari top options for a jk if you ask me.

My bestop safari top, duster, and windjammer should be here saturday. Once i put it on I'll write up a review and hope it keeps me dry enough. I plan to keep this set up on for the entire summer. Too bad you are so far, my jku came with both hard and soft top and i'm selling on craigslist bc i dont plan to ever put that on.

Convert-a-top
I seem to have a different thermostat than most jeepers. I like the top off below 70 degrees. Windows out with top up above that with AC in my face. The flapping sail panels bothered me and I was intriqued by the Clover Patch Convert-a-top. It isn't compatible with my 2012 JKU so I improvised using velcro.

Mopar Feedback?
If anyone else running the Mopar Bonnet could weigh in... I'd like to hear about it. Or is this a situation where Bestop makes that product for Mopar, and it is better to just get it from Bestop? I'm intrigued by the previous poster's comment about the Mopar reaching the door surrounds. I have factory half doors, so I generally don't have my door surrounds in place anyway... still I'm curious about the option.
For anyone running the Bestop Safari... is it a single piece all the way to the back or is it a bikini + extension of some kind?
Thanks to all for the input. I hope this has been helpful for others, but if not, you certainly helped this guy!
