But that Rope Swing looks fun.
that sucks... but wouldn't the rope swing be an indicator... if people will climb a tree, swing down, and plummit into the water below... one should conclude that it is probably kinda deep.

I think they did use scuba to hook up the tow/winch line to get it out

We really need the story on this one

Here is the thread he used the pic in after he used it in the photo testing ground....

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-trails-tales-71/spring-creek-tx-10-jan-2009-a-68168/

and I quote the riginal poster who said he talked to the owner...

"I talked to the guy and pretty much all he said was he had a "bad feeling" but thought he would be fine. I guess lesson learned. The recovery went pretty quick even with it being completely under water. "

I can sum up the "story" in one word. Stupid.

The water looks pretty muddy so he probably tried to reverse and started sliding down more into the river...

EXACTLY! Man I went there 8 or 9 years ago and it was like drunk redneck 4x4 heaven. This one "bubba" had a huge four wheeler (grizzly 600 I think) he was like 5'6 the bike was bigger than him. there were these big hills with mud pitts in between and his friends talked him into going through one. He reluctantly handed his coors lite to his friend and took off down that hill 3 times faster than I would have gone. After almost going over the handlebars when he hit the 2+ foot deep mud pit (sticky red texas clay mud crap) he finally made it to the other side. He started going up a little crooked and I guess he thought more throttle was the solution? That big ass four wheeler rolled over on top of him squishing him in the pit. His redneck soldiers dug him out quickly and he was ok but his ear and nostrils were PACKED with that mud. It was one of the nastiest spills I have ever seen in a mud hole. I bet he is still digging it out with Q-Tips. First words out of his mouth was "which one of y'all got my beer?"

Sorry for the long story, but that and jacked up short buses is all I think of when I think of Shiloh Ridge. Rednecks love that mud hole.

The photo looks like a nice TJ Rubicon Unlimited. Maybe a 2004- 2006? I dunno but it looks like a nice ride.
