Ok, because I saw this post I made the dive and ordered 35" tires, lol. I'm praying to god I can make them fit. Would a 1" wheel spacer help give a little extra clearance, untill down the road I can get my full lift kit ?
And directed at the two guys in this thread who did it, did you have any backspacing, or spacers of any kind is that a completely stock set up ?

PBR_Stitch, or anyone, can you explain to me what you mean by 'It does rub at full stuff on the top'.
I want to use my stock wheels with 35" tires and will get a TF 2.5" BB soon afterwards. I don't want spacers but that stupid plastic air dam can go. Will It still rub under this situation?

Full stuff is a statment refering to pushing the axle upwards until it contacts the bump stops. This happens off road under maximum articulation of the axle, not crossing parking curbs in the mall. As the axle goes up the wheel goes up and eventually runs out of room on top and that is where it makes contact with the wheel well.
I had WE beadlocks with 4.5" backspacing. I believe someone has done it on the factory wheels and ran into the same rub that I did on the factory air dam.
You can do some mild wheeling with this setup, but you will have to get used to going slow and the occasional rub noise. I would not do any hardcore wheeling this way.

Hi Nickc, I like the look of your JK with 35s on stock wheels. Are those the 17 X 7.5 or the 18" wheels and did you use any spacers?
I took a look under my rear tires and the closest thing to the tire is the control arm which is 1 1/8 away from the tire.
Spacers are illegal here so my plan is to get a 17 X 8 wheel with a 5.5 BS. This should push the wheel out 3/4" and hopefully be enough to stop any rubbing.
The 2.5" TF BB to follow
Edit: I should note 1 1/8 away from the stock 10.5" wide tire.
