I spent last week in Moab. My Rubicon is basically stock. I only have a few mods (listed in signature). My "lift" is only 1.5" in the front and 1" in the rear. It's a Teraflex Leveling Kit, but with a 1/2" spacer replacing one of the front 1" spacers. I was going to stick with "easy" and "moderate" trails described in the Well's book, but saw a video of a guy doing the "difficult" rated Fin's n' Things in a rental Rubicon with a lift barely taller than mine. So I gave it a try. I made it through both the south and north loops, with the help of my husband's great spotting. I did drag my hitch coming off the drop in the picture below, but it barely made a mark. I now have 33's on the way, and I think with the extra 1/2" they will give me in height, I should be able to clear it next time. I won't be doing anything much more difficult than this, so a mildly modified Rubicon is all I need. It's amazing what a stock (or nearly stock) Rubicon will do.
