Do it, the 2dr stock rubi is great. Mine is a 2008, its modified now. I attached 2 pics from a winter wheeling trip (I am in northern Canada, so I know snow and cold....the rubi handels that well too). My rubi was the only stock jeep to make it up the hill, I was the second guy up and then played anchor block while we pulled up the rest of the group.

Only Amanda (86 Scrambler on 39s), Chris (03 rubi on 37s running a small block chevy) and Alex (also on 37s 05 TJ with rubicon axles) made it up the hill. It was a fun ride for another 15min until we broke through the ice and spent the next 6 hours rescueing one another. The darkness sets in so early.

If you cannot modify it then buy one with the factory whinch plate, you will need it, get the receiver hitch and buy hook/shackle for it. make sure that you have recovery points a sling around the rearend or axles does a recovery point not make.

Enjoy the wheeling.
