snow plow?

I put a Fisher Homesteader on a couple of years go. Works great for your own driveway or a small lot. Just take your time and come to a complete stop before shifting. I live on a highway and we get burried at the end of our drive, so this was a good investment for me. It sure beats shoveling plus it's a lot of fun seeing how high of a snow mound you can make. The plow only weights about 250lb so that's not to bad for the front end to handle just for a day or two, cause your not going to leave it on all the time. It only takes a couple of minutes to put on and even less time to take off. Cost a little over 3K for this set up with them installing. Did I tell you it's a lot of fun plowing in one of these.

The Right Vehical for the Right Job
I have logged many many hours of snow. If you have a small lot(s) (home owner/cottage) a JK would do just fine. NOT the right vehical for commercial lots. After a few good snow storms a JK will not be able to lift the banks high enough.
As others have posted, minimum I would consider is a 3/4 ton short wheel base truck (F250 Super Duty ) Auto, and desiel all the way. HD everything....snow removal eats away your truck. The plow is personal preference.
Last few years I have not operated a pick up, rather a 150+ HP 4WD John Deere with a 'airport plow' measuring in at over 23' wide!! Im like a kid in a big sand box!!

I have run a Meyer plow on my 1997 TJ for several years and the setup is ideal for personal use. Just sold the 1997 and I'm adding a SnowDogg (like the one pictured above) to my 2008 JK. I'll let you know how it works out.

I have seen very tinny plows on Jeeps before. (smaller than those in the pics above) I don’t think a small one for personal driveway and helping a neighbor occasionally would hurt the JK

The module got mounted on the fire wall and for the control, I had it mounted on the dash between air vents. You can also get a hand-held controler if you want. For your own driveway, this works great..I'd do it again in a heart beat!

So I work at Heinz Field and they are setting up for the winter classic. The NHL has a black JK with a plough they are using for snow removal on the rink/field. Ill try and get some pictures tonight.

We just put a plow made by Sno-Way on the front of a 99 TJ where I work. Slick polycarbonate plow with metal blade. weighs about 275 pounds. I won't even speak of the horrible things they did to eliminate sag, luckily this thing will never be driven on a road.
