Default Snorkel Repair and a new Hat!

Ok...so..

As many of you know, the Tonka had a little accident. The illustrious jumping elm grabbed the snorkel, ripped it off, and threw it at my JK, denting the cowling, hood, fender flare....and completely crinkled where the snorkel enters the sidewall.

I decided to try to fix things myself. (notice: "try")
The hood is easy....clean and smooth dent the best i can....order AEV hood. lol
bushwacker popped right out. SWEET!
snorkel hides cowling pretty well...

Now for the snorkel and sidewall.....
I got two pvc closet flanges from lowes for $3 ea., cut one to fit the fender, bedlined it.
took the other and put it on the inside of the metal with butterfly wall anchors behind it and torqued them all down.
It not only covered all of the damage, but also flattened the crinkles, stabilized the entire sidewall, and added a nice trim ring to the snorkel...whaddya think?

Also got a new top from a popular online auction site for around $600.
didnt think it deserved its own thread, but wanted to show it off.
I havent had a hardtop before....i really like it and the panel options.
Yes, I realize it's just a stock top....so far.
Give me time!

Any use for the black rivets or cosmetic only? Either way, all looks great!
