Skid Row Top Prop
I don't know how many folks are running the Skid Row Top Prop, but it's a great addition for anyone sporting a bikini top and is tired of the top sagging under the weight of rain water and/or sick of the buffeting and flapping the top makes on the highway.
I installed a Top Prop last night and I must say it's one of the best under $50 mods I've done. More headroom. Water runs right off. And zero flapping or in-cab turbulence even at interstate speeds.
Installation photos are not of my JK, but will give you the idea of the finished product.
Note: IMO, the install in this photo is too far forward. My fiberglass bow is about three inches reward of this guy's (more centered along the roll bar).
In any case, two thumbs up for this product. Fairly easy installation and it works as advertised.

I took the dive on this and just wanted to let everyone know it definitely works as advertised. I bought the 4-door model, but think I would have been fine with the 2-door model (though I do have a 4-door).
I installed all the brackets, but only had to put the front one in to stop the flapping of my rampage combo top. Seems that it holds it high enough to not allow it to flap on sound bar. I have the back bar under back seat in case that changes. I only have about 20 miles on it, but have hit 70mph + without a flap. Seems water should run off also, but no rain yet.
Easy to install, took me about an hour taking my time and putting on the bikini. It generally makes my bikini fit better. Since it pushes up on the front top section, it pushes the header bar more securely against the windshield gasket, etc. Also, since you put the bar in after the top is on (or at least I did and it worked fine), it really pushes the safari/bikini up into the door surrounds. I mean I dont think there is anyway its coming out of the surrounds until the prop is taken out. I'm sure this would work for someone without door surrounds also, but not sure I'd be as keen on it then. Seems to me the water would rush off and right down between the roll bar and door and you'd have soaked door interiors/electronics. But it would stop the flap thats for sure.
I don't really love the look where the prop is since it pushes up pretty far and kind of makes a bulge, but I love the results and functionality, so I can live with it. I feel they could have made the bar an inch or two shorter and probably had same results with less bulge, but I'm sure they did some R&D and decided on these lengths for some reason.
Since I am not even using my rear bar, I have contemplated doing some of my own R&D and creating a slightly shorter version. Maybe shorten rear bar to 2" shorter than front and try it. If it works great, if not, not a huge deal. If it does work, then I could move the current front one to the rear, as that is 2" shorter than the rear based on original design (so both would be 2" shorter). I'm going to hold off for now, but if I decide to try this, I will let everyone know the results.
Definitely money well spent IMO.

x3 on this. if this would coexist with my trektop it would stop the only problem i have with it...water pooling. not really a big deal since its gone 1st corner turn, but it could soak a passenger who doesnt need soaked (read wife)
