I've had a few people asking for pics of the siped tires... so here they are...





and here is the Rubi in -21 Celsius.

The snow makes for good pics of the siping. It is really hard to see the cuts when it's just a dry tire.
I think siping is underrated, it add tons of traction on smooth slick surfaces like ice.

It's a bunch of slits cut into the tire tread more or less.... here's a good article:

I realize this is an old post, so this was either addressed already or forgotten, but the siping that you did appears to be also done on the outer most treads. I've read that this is a big problem for serious off-roading as it may cause the outer treads to chunk off on a steep rock grade. Apparently you get all the benefit of siping by only making the cuts on the center treads.

That is true, but most of my off-roading is deep snow, so not a huge concern...
The sipes don't actually go all the way out though, they stop about 1/3" from the outside edge of the outer lugs.

Plus I want to wear these tires out asap so I can justify AEV bridgers with 33"35" tires lol.
