I think I'm going to pick up 1 of these and repaint it gloss black. Will probably fit better than the pelican case I have for tools....

Driver's side setup finally came in. Gonna try to slap that on today...

Since the 60mm cans are the same width/depth as 50 cal cans, you might find these handy... about $10 for a set of 3, they fit perfectly in a 50 cal (and 60mm) can.

Both are on. This one fit 100x better and installed 100x faster. Amazing how fast it'll go on assuming you don't receive one with a bent door hinge bracket

I left both the stock ratchets on. If either starts to show rusty springs then I'll change them out but everything else looked to have a decent zinc coating on them.

Might get a chance to see how much clearance I actually have going through some tighter trails/brush soon. Wheels and sliders are out far enough so I'm thinking I'll be good unless I really get off camber but theoretically I'm thinking (and hoping) that the scepters will serve as pillar sliders if worse comes to worse.

Thanks mojo

VKS pre-runner sliders + Evo aluminum rockers.

Trailready HD17's beadlocks.....I've had them for over about 15 months now. I just refinished them about a month ago since the paint job I did last summer on them was half-ass and started flaking. You really have to go powder coat if you want to do wheels correctly. Then I got the rings blasted and cleared them to match all the other aluminum bits that's on the rig. I slapped on KO2s in a size 37. Currently an AEV 2.5" lift....

No issues with steering on the streets. Very slight rubbing if I take a tightly turned on-ramp at 45mph. They are a 36.5" tire but where I have them aired at brings them down to about a 35.5".

The nice thing about BFG is that they are the lightest weight heavy duty (in the realm of JKs) tire on the market. These 37 KO2s only weigh 2 lbs more than my KM2s that are 35s. 71lbs versus 69bls so I'm not too concerned about the axles/unit bearings.

The 37s haven't been Rubicon trail offroad yet but only muddy service roads & ruts. Probably won't really test them out until I get the front dana60 in hopefully by this summer. Still awaiting specs/field tests on a suspension I'm looking at before the axle upgrade goes in. In the meantime just running a sleeved, gusseted, upgraded ball-jointed, and diff slider protected D30 lol.

If I'm going to hit some mild/hard trails then I'll swap in the Racelines with the 35s back on....

Default lol my nitto trail graplers are

only 31.5 they are 33s and they weight 86 lbs each E rated 10 ply

tough as nails but heavy . I had 35 km2 on my pick up before good tires but the ford used to chew them up pretty fast , well i shouldnt say that really still got like 65,000 off them but my regular bfg muds i used to get 80,000 out of them . I sold the truck for 1500 bucks cash lol when i bought my jeep . big regret . It cost more for the tires than what i got for the whole truck and it only had 85,000 orig miles on it. I should have slapped a plow on it for my drive way . It had all new front end parts too and new oil pan and radiator battery. 6" lift . Oh well gone now but i do miss having a truck for getting stuff and it went just about anywhere i go in my jeep as well with out any issues . Wish i had kept it and bought some mods for it it would have been worth having around it was a beast but it sucked the gas like one too .

$1500? Hell I would have jumped all over that.

Funny you posted that up because in my search for junkyard axles the last couple of months I've come across some pretty decent shape F250's. They're going for about $4k-$6k on average and I'm tempted to just pull the trigger so I can have a beater that I can load stuff in and keep mileage off the JK. Not even use it for it's real purpose which is an axle swap lol

On the other hand, I've already got a high mileage sedan (I guess 140k on a honda engine might still be considered low) that's already paid off and a 1/2 ton trailer for the JK = no more room in the garage. My problem is I need a 3 or 4 car garage or a super long drive way lol
