I don't like the way the bump stop works like that. It's hard to get it level.
The visibility is not an issue since my sons car seat blocks more of my view than the tire will.
I will have to think about the center of gravity though.

Did you put the bolts on from the bump stop as explained in the little instruction sheet that came with the bump stop? If not that might be the problem. Mine sits perfectly flat although it's not fully on the plate. I just couldn't use the washer in the inside, because there was no room. It shouldn't matter though.

you can use two nuts on the outside and then the washer fits flush, thats how my bumpstop is sitting

seems to be working fine
