Exile marine tower speakers mounted to the roll bar. Kept the updated sound bar speakers in too, but the tower speakers are powered by a kenwood amp mounted in the back.

Quick disconnect so I can take them out whenever, and they swivel 360 degrees, great for camping

I drilled 2 tiny holes into my roll bar where the speakers are mounted, and speaker wire follows the roll bar to the base of the bar in the rear of the jeep. Then under the carpet to the amp, then up to the HU through RCA. aftermarket HU that is...
^ that part was a little messy but it wasn't as bad as it looks
Easy install took about 2 hours with a buddy, and the sound is ridiculous. Not exactly heavy on the bass, but I have them tweaked to have a nice solid surround sound.
Btw, love the kickers you guys are running, they must wake the neighbors

I'm really thinking about doing exactly what you've done....

Sadly no work in the Jeep yet. Still not sure how extreme I will go this time.
so instead here is a shot of my other car and DIY build I still plan to rework this build a bit. Likely move the second battery out from under the amps and move the engine battery to the trunk. Then put them on either side currently where the HDD and cap are located.

There's a hole above and below the deck. The cover has a bent pin welded to the top with a nut welded to the front and I have a separate bent pin for the bottom with a welded nut on it. Put the pins in the holes, and the nuts match up.
Here's some pics from the build and mockup.
