Growing up my dad had a J-10, an XJ, and an unroadworthy CJ-5 that we used around the wood lot. I moved away from pickups a few years ago and bought a used '89 YJ, upgraded to the JK when the engine and tranny were about to give out.

Bought a brand new off the lot '93 Jeep YJ Wrangler 4.0L 6 speed back in March of '93 at the age of 22. A week later I packed all my belongings in the Jeep and moved to Colorado Springs. Been a Jeep guy ever since and am now on my 4th.

First Jeep
My first Jeep was an '89 YJ. As you can see in the pics, it was easy to spot. I bought this when my wife was about 8 months pregnant with my second daughter. She used a chair to get in while she was pregnant and just stood on the tires to get in after the baby. I miss that Jeep. I eventually sold it and bought a '99 TJ. I just sold it and now I'm looking for a CJ-7.

1979 CJ-7 with a 4 speed and 258 6-cyl. Wish I had pictures. That was in 1983, and just out of high school. I remember in the late 60's or early 70's my dad's green commanche with a v-6 Buick. Ah the good ol days.

The Jk is my first Jeep. Ben driving 1/2 ton shrt bed GM 4X4 since I was 16 and alwys wanted a Jeep. The wife was tired of my 1977 Truck (which will be for sale soon) and wanted a Jeep. That about sums it up. We now have a Jeep.

my 89 yj was my LOVE! I got it as my senior ride in 93. that red jeep went everywhere. chicks dug it. friends envied it. people always wanted to take the jeep if it was summer and we went out.
I had that jeep for 12 years. I cried after I sold it. it was the last thing my grandfather gave me before he passed away.
I had planned to be buried in it.
3 years after I sold it. my dodge 4 door truck was getting up in mileage and repairs. wife said pick something you really want and lets buy it (within reason)
I was looking at the solstice and the saturn skyy but, couldn't make up my mind.
then I saw a commercial for the new 07 Jeep Rubicon with lifetime powertrain warranty.
DONE.
I went to the dealership and test drove a red rubi.
it went home with me that day.

My first Jeep: 1990 YJ. I got it cheap off of a friend in high school because the engine needed to be replaced. I replaced the engine myself and eventually the transmission and numerous other parts. Great memories!
The first jeep I ever drove was this 1947 CJ-2a. It was my grandfather's at the time and I was about 12. Now, my dad has inherited it, and hopefully one day it will be mine! (but not too soon!)
