Show your first jeep.
I couldn't find a thread on this....and I'm curious.
We know you're in a JK now, but what started you on the path of the Jeep life?
Show us your first jeep.....or if it was a while back, tell us about it. If the JK is your first jeep, show it anyway.
Mine was a raggedy old 1969 Jeep Commando farm wagon.
It had been rattle canned burnt orange, and had a full hardtop, and some narrow knobby metric tires.
I couldn't find a pic of it in the shape it was in when I got it, but here's one after I flipped it, and rebuilt it from 5 donors.
8.5 inch spring over lift
252ci Buick V6 (dauntless 225 was stock)
th400 transmission
dual exhaust
custom seats
bedlined interior
retro fitted other accessories and parts you see, as very little was available for this vehicle.
have also had :
66 commando
67 commando convertible
68 commando (x2)
70 commando
72 commando (ugh)
cherokee (x2)
Cherokee sport
cj6
grand Cherokee (x2)
current JK

my first one was a 72 CJ5 Renegade (the one that had parts interchangeable with the M38A1) It was white with brown renegade stripes. Factory 304 and a 3 speed. The exhaust ran under the sides iof the doors and exited before the rear tires. It said "blup blup blup blup blup" when it idled. Hitting bumps at highway speed sometimes resulted in an unintentional lane change or pants soiling.

My first jeep was inspired by my brothers first jeep. He bought an '83 CJ7 with a 304 V8 and 35" thornbirds....so then I needed something. So a few years back I purchased a ragged out '91 Cherokee for $600 added a 6" lift and 33" LTB's...it was a jewel with leather interior and power everything that still worked...then I added a custom rattle can camo paint job.
Here is a pic of them together

I had a strange path.
Always had sports cars, then got this SRT8 Cherokee and kept walking around the dealership while getting oil changes and such.
Bought a 2000 TJ on a whim and fell in love.
Now I've got a 2008 Unlimited and a 2003 Rubicon.
It's an addiction.
