I just taped them off. took a while to tape off and cover with newspaper to avoid overspray, but they turned out really good. I roughed them up with some steel wool after taping them off. Then I just sprayed them with a gloss black followed by a clear coat.

i like it a lot. i have a sunburst orange X so i think if i make mine black it will look sick with all the black on my truck. i never use my lock but just wondering, i guess if u had to use it, it would probably chip the paint? idk but i like it good work

Default I LOVE this thread!

I did copy one of the members idea of doing the foam roofing insulation, cover with felt for the headliner. Works fantastic and cheap!

I herculined the hardtop, removed the third 'eye' brake light and installed a LED light that is a turn signal, running lights, brake light and flasher.

I also installed a row of lights under the bar of my congo cage.
