The easiest way to remove decals is to heat them with a hair dryer and use your fingernail to start an edge. Peel slowly with a smooth pull and they will come right off.
If there is any residual adhesive left over, you can use Goo-Gone (A commercial product) or you can use several household items like WD-40, Nail-polish remover, gasoline etc.
I use WD-40 or an equivalent because it won't harm the paint or dissolve any wax you have on the paint.

You can get a hood sticker or sponsor style sticker made at any of your local sign/graphic shops. Just look up "SIGNS" in your local yellow pages. There will be several shops to choose from i'm sure. If not PM me.
