I'll never buy another Sager because they use such cheap components. I know Alienware uses high end stuff, but I'd rather build my own anyway. If you've got something that works, be glad, then you can come to JK-Forum and see more sticlers (trying to tie this back into the thread!!!)
cause they over price all their stuff like hell and take advantage of people. Remember the 2003 version of the Area 51 laptop? They were selling them for around $4k fully loaded. I got one from the store that builds them for alienware ~$2k. I even built my desktop better than anything alienware offered at the time for about half the cost. I know they are going for a profit and such, but i still think they are priced way too high.
Alienware is just as bad as apple is with the iPods. way over priced for a POS and for something other companies are making far better for far less.
btw, if you are wondering, the laptop i have is a Sager 5690

and yes, i still have it, and yes, its still working just fine. Since i brought it, i only re-installed windows once because i wanted to upgrade to Vista, and that was a waste of time.
But if you like Alienware, thats cool, i'm just saying that i wouldn't buy one. Just like i would never by an H2...
