Careful with a heat gun. If it gets too hot, it can fry the paint. Hair dryer works, is a bit safer, and almost everyone has one. Goo gone or WD40 to clean the glue. Heat the decal, scrape with an old credit card, should work fine.

Hair dryer used here, heat it evenly and it peels right off, no scraping. GooGone for the left over glue outline.

I've even used a hair dryer. Once you get a corner up, it will peel right off.

white reflective JK vinyl sticker (used for road signs) had it made with a laser cutter by a guy at work. Both sides and back passenger side corner... hard to see until the light hits it, then it looks like they are glowing. Just a little touch. Love it.
