they're awesome, brighter than my 15" blitzpro I had. they are a flood pattern though, if you're looking for spots, I don't think the LEDs are the best for long distance but I'm real happy with the eBay pods. I've purchased 8 of them now for bike, boat and jeep

Double stack D2s on the pillars plus 20" on the bumper. More light than you can imagine.

How are they as far as driving are they in the way?

I drilled into the hood and mounted it as far up as possible.
