Actually, I thought it was pretty easy..
Sat in the drivers seat, grabbed it with both hands.. I think it shifted into second.. pulled hard and it popped off. If that didn't work, I was going to wrap a crescent wrench in a rag and tap it from below.

I did a little machining and installed these B&M's last weekend!

test fitting, I ended up using a cut off wheel and shortened the stick about 2 inches!
