Show off your shift knobs!

That crappy knob with the plastic chrome accent had to go. It could focus a sunbeam right into your retina. I went with an Epco shift knob and adapter. The Epco adapter isn't perfect. I had to purchase 1/8" length set screws to get them flush. You'll need the longer one to to sit in the shifter groove. The assembly isn't much heavier, but it shifts nice. Although it can really get shaking over those bumps. It's kind of trippy so I have to be careful not to zone out on it.

test fitting, I ended up using a cut off wheel and shortened the stick about 2 inches!

Wish the was some aftermarket adapter from the pressed on to threaded adapter. I was thinking about taking it to a machine shop and seeing if they could thread it with a tap and die set or a lathe. Worst case I'll do exactly what you did (great job btw). Do you feel like the shifter is too short? Because I was also looking at the tough country extender straight off the tranny to the shaft. Your thoughts? Thanks a bunch! This is my first time on a thread/form , love this place though. So informative!
