Some really great looking rigs with tons of lights!!

So, a noob question........I have JW Speaker headlights and fog lights. I am curious as to what the reasoning is for cubes and either a hood or bumper 10" LED. What is each supposed to do?

I drive at night on really crappy roads with lots of potholes, lots of pedestrians and bicycles. Flat countryside, with very straight roads. 95% on-road travel, no crawling. Not much traffic, but I like to see everything that is ahead. If you were me, which accessory lights would you get and why? When do you use spots vs. floods, and where would you put them?

Thanks
