There's no "best", it what's best for you and your application. There's a FAQ on this very subject: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modi...bie-has-18617/

Most of the time people will answer your question with what worked for them, and a thread like this with ~2" lift pics is a good place to start. See my profile for the lift and tires on mine.

You might just try putting in a lift spacer kit of say 3/4 to 1.5 inches. Very cheap, reliable, and there's virtually nothing else to do. One thing to know is that the more major the lift, the more other things are affected (drive-lines, gear ratios, and lots more). Done wrong, and it's a nightmare of unreliability and poor drivability. Don't get caught up in "lift envy". Suggest hitting some trails and just use common sense about it, even a stock JK is very trail worthy.

Based on your other post, consider a set of 32" BFG KM, which are the stock Rubicon tires.

2 weeks after I got my jeep, I upgraded my tires and wheels. Got Firestone Destination AT in 275/70/17. They were inexpensive tires, have a bit an aggressive tread so they still fit the part. But not so much that you lose mpg. My gas mileage has not budged from stock.

Also, that size is the biggest you can get on stock without rubbing or spacers....comes to about 32.5 once mounted. But I am looking to getting a lift by spring (LATEST).....so this thread is helping too!
