if you cut your stock fenders you will have to trim the inner splash shield a little.
here is a video from you tube that explains it quite well .

I paid $420 for my Bushwackers, plus at the time they had a $50 rebate. 6 weeks later my total cost was only $370. PM a few vendors. I bet someone will get you at least close.
Personally, I do think that done right the trimmed fenders can look really good, but I think the aftermarket flares look like the JK came stock with them. For resale purposes this may be a big plus to spending the $$.

Why spend any money on flat fenders?
2hrs of your time and they are Free. And not flimsy at all

Is there an easier way to cut it without removing the fender liner and painting the body?

I really like the smittybilt ones and they're fairly cheap. My birthday is in october so hopefully i will get money to buy some because im in highschool and dont have much of a source of income. For now i will cut them as a temporary solution but yes i do agree, the stock cut ones do sag a bit and seem flimsy. I hope it wont be hard. As in cutting the fenders bc this will be my first mod.

I really just hacked mine and they look good, I did tape a slant to follow on the front but the rest... I just followed the inner radius.
Really can't screw up ... Sand and use the plastic trim. You'll like the look and it's free.
