Default Show me your fenders!

Im looking into buying some fenders for less than $400. I want some that are easy to install with little drilling/cutting and will fit the look of my Jeep!

Thanks, Chris

Under $400, pickens will be very slim. Why not cut your stock fenders?

Not a bad idea.. ive heard if you cut the stock ones they are very flimsy and weak. Ive been looking at the smittybilt flat fenders, they're about $300 after tax. Any suggestions?

Yes, don't buy them!
Cut the stock ones. They are not that flimsy. If you tear them off on the trail, they pop back. Or worse case scenario, you get new ones off craigslist for cheap or free.
Here are mine.

Ripped the rear driver fender off but a little heat and 2 new clips looks like new again.

Cool! Hey thank you! And what do you use to cut them? Did you have to cut the splash guard?

theres a few good ways to cut plastic fenders. to name a couple, a nice sharp clippers will bite right through, but make sure they are sharp, if not theyll smush and pinch and make a mess. a dremel tool will also eat right through the material.

measure twice, cut once of course. and take your time.

im sure theres a good guide on how to cut them too look awesome, probably listed on this very forum.

I've seen the best cuts done with a Dremel and cut wheel.
Here's mine hacked with a jig saw.

Very clean cut! Did you cut the splash guard on the inside?

I agree with cutting them! It's easy and free! I used a cutoff wheel. It does burn the edges a bit, but a sanding block cleans them right up.

if you cut your stock fenders you will have to trim the inner splash shield a little.
here is a video from you tube that explains it quite well .
