If you linexed the pillar, it'd look funky with the doors off, just my opinion. Looks good if you plan on keeping them on. Your jeep, you mod it the way you see fit. Don't let a poll sway you either way, we don't have to drive it.

It pretty much looks the way I have mine done now (except with real half doors). The pillar is the same color as the body just like mine shows now. On the 2 doors it's all black because you cant see it with the windows on.
