Short Vid - For anyone debating the OME LT kit.
I know this is not "trails and tales", but I thought this might shed some light on what OME means when they say "long travel". I thought that it might be useful for people who are considering lifting their Jeeps. I grabbed this clip out of some footage that my father recently shot on a trip to the McLean Creek OHV area west of Calgary, Alberta.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLJhu14X1zw Specifically, I'm running the following:
-OME HD coils
-OME LT shocks
-Currie front upper arms (all other arms are stock)
-Stock driveshafts (JKU with 6 speed)
-JKS Trackbars
-Teraflex extended bumpstops
-Crown brake lines
-Currie rear spring retainers
-Northridge sway bar links
-Spidertrax wheel spacers and stock Rubi wheels
-35X12.5R17 Toyo Open Country MT's (and yes, they rub the stock fenders just a little bit )
Yes, I am well aware that this amount of flex is well below what a longarm kit and/or coilovers will provide - but I also spent far less than I would have on longarms and/or coilovers. I think that this kit represents a great choice for someone who wheels a JK on 35's and wants strong performance off-road, but still uses their rig as a DD.
If anyone else has (short) vids of their suspension flexing out on the trail, this might not be a bad spot to allow people who are considering purchases to compare.

That's sick man! I have the standard kit with HD springs on my 2dr and love it but I am looking for more flex. Could I just swap out the shocks for the LTs? (I already have front LCAs and track bars)

To get the full benefit, you'll need to make sure that you've enough slack in the brake lines (buy longer ones), coil retainers on your your springs, and nice long sway bar links. From what I'm told you can run into issues if you try to run the LT shocks without upgrading those parts.
