Shiny black paint, anyone?

Thanks, Lightfoot. Using blue painter's tape to mask the hinges, fenders, mirrors, and various trim added, oh, maybe 20 minutes to the job. Considering the investment in time, another 20 minutes is well worth it.

mscedro, zook, the compliments are genuinely appreciated.

rubious, detailedimage 'dot' com is the place to buy. When you do the work, don't be tempted to stop after the first compound or to cut any steps out after the paint begins looking better. The A to Z protocol is worth it!

Missed this one, sorry. So far, I've not had a problem with the tires leaking down. The wheels are scarred, but apparently not compromised. I would love a set of those new AEVs in matte black, but I'd puke once I rashed the sh*t out of them on the rocks, so I'll continue to abuse my stock Rubicon wheels as long as I can.

Yeah I said I would never buy another Black rig .It has been since 1995 when the IROC came out. Than just last year when I bought hte Jeep. It is a little bit harder to keep it clean in the winter, if you live where there is SALT. I couldn't pass up the deal that I got on it.

I know I had quite a few trail pin stripes on my black JK, and I washed, clayed, and waxed the JK, and it is amazing what it looks like now. Maybe next year I will go the extra step and use some rubbing compound to help get rid of some of the orang peel.
